An extension lecture on Indian historical sites and coins was organized by the History Department at Indira Gandhi University, Mirpur, Rewari. The keynote speaker of the lecture was Professor Manmohan Kumar, retired professor of Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak and former president of the Indian Numismatic Society. Dr. Balkar Singh, Senior Assistant Professor of the department, welcomed the keynote speaker. In his lecture, Professor Manmohan Kumar elaborately shed light on the archaeological sites of Haryana, the history of ancient coins and the trade routes of ancient India. While making the students aware of the important achievements of Indian history, he told that the socio-economic and cultural nature of ancient India can be understood by studying coins and trade routes. Dr. Birendra Singh expressed his gratitude. He said that this lecture was very inspiring and informative for the students along with historical knowledge. Dr. Avinash Arya conducted the programme. On this occasion all the students of M.A. History were present.
